I amcurrently recruiting for Call Handlers in Glasgow, Southside area. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for responding to enquiries from thepublic regarding anti-social behaviour services and providing advice andassistance to the public.
Responsibilities:
Respond to enquiries from the public in a courteous and efficient manner.
You will provide effective call handling and arrange response using variouscommunication systems within the 24/7/365 control room, including the provision of the Telecare Alarms Service to elderly and vulnerable residents.
You will receive, assess and action calls from our council services, staff and members of the public including services which require emergency responses.
You will also take initial action when you receive police observation requests.
You will monitor the CCTV systems scanning to identify anti-social, criminal and suspicious activity
Requirements:
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility aroundworking hours
-Ability to handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Goodorganisational and administrative skills.
-Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Access/Excel etc.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
-Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work procedures.
In addition to acompetitive hourly rate, you will be paid weekly through an efficient onlinetimesheet process and will also receive expert advice from a Hays consultantproviding support and guidance throughout the duration of your contract. Thisis an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and gain hands on experiencein a large and busy working environment. You will receive bespoke in-housetraining and will be closely guided to your success
