Head of Sales and Marketing

Waterhouse-Kern Associates are thrilled to be working with a fantastic, progressive Building Society/Mutual to find a Head of Sales & Marketing. This is a hybrid role and a background in finance is essential.
PURPOSE OF JOB
With guidance from the CEO, to create and evolve the Society's marketing
strategy and to communicate this effectively to colleagues.
To plan, implement and manage the Society's marketing activities.
To develop the sales tactics required to achieve targets.
To devise, co-ordinate and undertake the Society's business development activities for all channels of distribution.
Oversight of the Business Development and Marketing Teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
To devise and implement strategies, initiatives and campaigns to achieve sales
targets.
To coach, mentor and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all
sales opportunities are maximised.
To liaise with colleagues and intermediaries to ensure that the Society is
providing the necessary levels of service and support.
To prepare relevant and timely reports as required by the Chief Executive by maintaining appropriate data.
Marketing
To implement the Society's marketing strategy.
To devise marketing ideas and initiatives and assist with new product
developments.
To plan and manage marketing activities within budget.
To monitor marketing results and produce appropriate KPl’s.
To ensure the website remains up to date, relevant and, in conjunction with the
Chief Operating Officer, fully compliant.
To manage and execute direct mail and email campaigns.
To plan, manage and oversee the delivery of advertising campaigns, including on-line.
Business Development
To develop all channels of distribution per the marketing strategy in order to
achieve the desired mix of business.
To monitor and assist with the development of sustainable relationships with Advisers
and Introducers through a co-ordinated programme of face-to-face and other communications.
To develop effective sales aids and presentation for use in business development
activities.
To identify and develop new professional and corporate connections to achieve
targeted business growth.
General
To assist with the overall aim of maintain strong service standards.
To manage and appraise the Business Development Manager, Senior Marketing and Comms Specialist and Product Development and Training Specialist.
To oversee relevant third party relationships.
To deputise for colleagues in their absence.
