We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join a growing payroll team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be proficient with payroll software, proactive, highly numerate, and possess a keen eye for detail. Day to day of the role: Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for organisations of varying sizes and complexities.
Set up pension schemes with various providers, including calculations and distribution of necessary data.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and build excellent professional relationships.
Perform reconciliations, manual calculations, and respond to client queries efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Essential experience in a payroll bureau or practice environment.
Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently on various payrolls from start to finish.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel for import/export functions, and Outlook.
Familiarity with transferring data between payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of Bacs payment processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Organised, thorough, and diligent approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines effectively.
