Duties include Pre brief all drivers.
Pre-calling stores for deliveries
Ensuring all required paperwork and equipment is issued.
Ensure completion of all agency staff forms and license checks are complete.
Monitor drivers’ schedules whilst on route using Microlise and follow appropriate escalation procedures where required.
Allocating additional / changing work to drivers when required
Ensure all traffic systems are kept updated and completed fully.
Ensure all fleet legal compliance is adhered to including drivers’ hours and defects.
Communication with warehouse and shunters to assist timely load departure.
Ensure vehicle and trailer resource is in place for start times.
Cover debriefs and all associated tasks.
Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
Engage positively with the driving staff.
Completion of KPI reports / spreadsheets
Affectively communicate with FLM and shift managers
Ability to adapt to a highly changeable environment.
