We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Youth Workers who have the drive to support and empower pupils with SEND and SEMH needs to enhance their overall development.

As a Trainee Youth Worker, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH and SEN needs, covering a variety of needs from Communication and interaction difficulties, to cognitive and learning problems along with social, emotional, mental-emotional health including those with sensory and/or physical needs. Ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential.

You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either Academic or Communicative development.

Job information:

Full-time Monday - Friday

Paid up to £100 per day!

Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high-quality and creative educational and personal development sessions

1-1, small group and individual sessions

Creating an interactive and academically enriched learning experience

Excellent career starter for aspiring Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers

Able to provide academic support to pupils as well as pastoral care

A vibrant and unique place of work where staff and students share the same vision.

Training on the job.

Salary increases with progression.

Your own dedicated mentor and consultant to help and support when needed.

Person Specification:

Preferred 1 year experience in either psychiatric unit, Health & Social Care, residential or youth offending settings but those who have the passion and drive will be considered.

The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, and be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.

The ability to take note of, and act on, all issues relating to the well-being and safeguarding of children

Prescient behaviour management skills

Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child’s development

Willing to undertake training days
