Finance Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our manufacturing client on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the finance function and will provide support to operational management, with a great opportunity to get involved in strategic commercial work as the business grows. You will ideally be ACCA/CIMA qualified, however QBE candidates with excellent end to end finance experience are welcome to apply! Salary on offer is up to £55,000, and the business are based in Smethwick.
This business have a long tenure in the manufacturing industry and are well established, whilst achieving year on year growth. You'll be joining a hard working, committed finance team with a commercially minded operational team, offering development for the right individual into a commercial finance position. It's key the right candidate can manage a full set of accounts for the site, including reporting for the wider business and supporting the Group Finance Director with project work.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day management, development and appraisal of the accounts team including purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll disciplines
Providing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Preparing annual budgets including profit and loss, Balance Sheet and cashflows
Preparation of Year End process including audit requirements
Supporting the General Manager in presenting results to Group management team and the Board of Directors
Management of cash and working capital including monthly cashflow reporting, forecasting and daily tracking
Maintain capital expenditure system
Maintain tooling control system
Expenditure and variance analysis
Analyse stock movement and discrepancies
Produce daily/weekly key performance reports
Reconciliation of bank accounts
Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts and systems
Manage monthly intercompany recharging and agreeing balances
Signing off and reviewing payment runs
Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Understanding manufacturing reporting and the costing process and being able to explain to the divisional team how this impacts upon the financial results and working capital
Further develop financial system and procedures surrounding it
About You:
ACCA/CIMA Qualified preferred but not essential
Experience working in a manufacturing business would be beneficial
End to end finance experience with the ability to work in a small team
Confidence to take ownership of projects and process improvements
