We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.

We are currently looking for a People Experience Partner to join us at one of our facilities in either Wellingborough, Huthwaite or Darlington United Kingdom .

The People Experience Partner is a critical hands-on role that partners with leaders by building, rolling out and driving HR programs and solutions that enable the delivery of business outcomes. This role is key to executing our people initiatives, coaching managers, and partnering with HR Business Partners, HR Operations and HR Centers of Excellence on projects, process, and program implementation.

The People Experience Partner will work closely with HRBPs and BU/functional HR leadership, in an effort to support the delivery of the BU/functional strategic talent agenda. The People Experience Partner may also have local site and/or country cluster responsibility, and serve as a main point of contact for country-specific needs.

Key responsibilities:

Consult and collaborate with leaders to execute people-related initiatives around performance management, employee relations, coaching, employee engagement, culture, organizational change, organizational development/team effectiveness, career pathing, and learning & development.

Pull through / execute on the strategic talent agenda set by the BU/Functional HR leaders (including workforce planning, succession, leadership development, talent acquisition, team effectiveness, etc.).

Build solid relationships with leaders and assist them in finding appropriate HR solutions to meet their needs. Coach them to effectively manage and grow their teams, in alignment with organizational goals, values, competencies, and policies/procedures.

Lead key people process implementation (performance management, compensation planning, development planning, etc.) throughout assigned sites/functions/business units.

Partner with our HR Centers of Excellence teams to deliver seamless human resources processes and programs across the organization.

Improve and apply HR processes, policies and standards, meeting local and federal employment laws.

Partner with business stakeholders and HR teams to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs, including progressive discipline. Handle employee complaints, manage grievance procedures and facilitate counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders. Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.

Identify root causes and conduct relevant data analysis in order to propose both short-term and long-term HR interventions and solutions that benefit client groups.

Key requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Business or related field; Master’s Degree preferred

Prior experiencing working in a large, multi-national, heavily matrixed company is strongly preferred

Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred (for relevant roles)

Strong knowledge of local employment practices, laws, regulations, unions and work councils (where applicable)

Ability to leverage resources, escalate and redirect work within a global HR model (across COEs, AskHR, HRBP, etc.)

Ability to effectively influence and work through others

Must have a solutions orientation and be able to develop “win/win” solutions that support business initiatives and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place

Ability to position self as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought partner (builds relationships, delivers results)

Ability to provide creative solutions and unique approaches to HR/business challenges

Prior experience advising clients on HR matters, including the investigation and resolution of complex employee relations matters

Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills

Axalta operates its business in two segments: Performance Coatings and Mobility Coatings, which serve four end markets, including Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Our diverse global footprint allows us to deliver solutions in over 140+ countries and coat 30 million vehicles per year.
