Role: Temporary Finance Assistant
Salary: £27,300 or £15:00 Per Hour
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Hours: 35 Hours per week (Hybrid-at least 3 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
Reconcile the two main bank accounts daily and other bank accounts on a weekly basis.
Reconcile cash income on a weekly basis.
Run the purchase ledger with fortnightly payment runs.
Raise sales invoices in line with contracts.
Create the monthly direct debit collections.
Monthly credit card reconciliations
As part of month end procedures post accruals, prepayments, accrued income and deferred income journals.
Prepare debtors listings and send to appropriate departments for chasing.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
Support the Finance Director in month end and year end tasks.
About you:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Quite
Basic Excel skills (sum, average, sort, filter etc.)
AAT Level 3 or equivalent experience
Experience of direct debits
Experience of VAT returns
Excellent attention to detail
